This year for just a few of my new years resolution
If you’re into making a new years resolution or two, why not make a few that include your fish as well. If you do, this time next year, your fish will be a year older and a little bigger. It’s so easy to put things off, but in the world of goldfish keeping, this could be a big mistake. Putting off a water change could lead to dangerously high nitrates
New years resolution
1. I will never skip a water change
2. I will test my water parameters weekly
3. I will feed on schedule whenever possible
4. I will feed flakes only once a day, and then only a small meal
5. I will feed gel food daily
6. I will check the water temperature daily
7. I will perform a tonic at least once a month
8. I will take the time to look each fish over at every meal
9. I will take my time when performing a water change
10. I will take time to enjoy and appreciate my fish
I also promise not to bore everyone with stories of my old school
New years resolution

I’m never bored hearing about your old school. In fact, your stories about them and how old they got to be was what drew me to the site to begin with. Long live our goldfish!
They were a sight to behold, especially during a spawning session. Oooh the splash they made
sooooooo that was the last time? 7 of em eh? wow . Magnificent really when you think about it.
I’m always referring to my old school of fish, and I know the regular’s get bored with hearing about how old they were (age 9 thru 13) how big they were (9″ to 12″) and how many (seven) and what kind they were (1 common, 2 comets, 1 fantail, 2 pearlscales, 1 shubunkin) so I vow not to keep doing this over and over again
Brilliant list of resolutions. Whats with the not boring with old school ?
